Life, After: An 8-week grief coaching & community experience for living after sudden loss.
What to ExpectThey were here. And then they weren’t.
And somehow, the world kept moving.
Life, After was created for the part that comes after the immediate crisis—when the calls have slowed, people have returned to their lives, and you’re beginning to understand that yours has changed.
For eight weeks, a small community of 6–8 people will gather to make room for grief, connection, memory, identity, the body, meaning—and the life that continues alongside all of it. This group is more than a support group. It’s a new way to honor your grief within a life that has been forever changed.
❋ Somatic ReleaseYou will be invited to meet, make space for, and learn what the body has to say about where you are now that grief lives alongside you.
❋ Expressive Arts and WritingAn invitation to look more deeply into the space creatively and with curiosity
❋ Honoring and Ritual making We will explore ways to meet this new version of yourself, while also honoring those who were lost.
❋ A Supportive SpaceThe goal is to create comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are, wherever you are in it all.
There is no leaving grief behind. There is only learning to make room for what we carry- and for the life that continues alongside it.

What’s a Companion?
Throughout our eight weeks together, you’ll have a thoughtfully created companion to move alongside you—not a workbook to complete, but a place to return to.
Inside, you’ll find gentle reflections, expressive arts invitations, somatic practices, rituals, writing prompts, and space to notice what is unfolding in your grief.
Each week, you’ll be invited into practices connected to what we’re exploring together. There is nothing to finish, no right way to use it, and no expectation that every page be filled.
Think of it as a place to hold what emerges between our gatherings.
Some weeks you may write.
Some weeks you may create.
Some weeks you may simply read a page and let it sit with you.
The Companion is yours—to make your own, return to, and carry beyond our eight weeks together.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. Life, After is a grief coaching and community experience, not psychotherapy or mental health treatment. While I am a licensed therapist, I am stepping into the role of coach and facilitator within this program. Our work may be emotional and reflective, but the group is not a substitute for individualized mental health care.
-
There is no specific timeline you need to meet. Life, After was created especially for the time after the initial crisis of loss—when the world may be expecting you to return to life, even though your reality has profoundly changed. Part of the application and connection call will help us determine whether this particular space feels appropriate for where you are right now.
-
The founding Life, After circle is specifically designed around the experience of sudden loss—the reality shift of someone being here, and then suddenly not. Sudden loss can happen in many different circumstances, and everyone’s experience will be different.
-
Each circle will include approximately 6–8 participants who have experienced the sudden death of someone significant to them. Losses, relationships, ages, beliefs, and stories may be different. What brings the group together is the experience of learning to live within a reality changed by loss.
-
No. You will always be invited, never forced, to participate. There will be opportunities for conversation, reflection, expressive arts, somatic practices, music, movement and ritual, but you remain in choice about how you engage. You don’t need to arrive ready to tell your entire story.
-
That’s completely okay. Life, After can exist alongside individual therapy and may complement the support you’re already receiving. It does not replace therapy when individualized clinical care is needed.
-
Not at all. There may be gentle opportunities to explore meaning, connection, ritual and the questions loss can bring, but Life, After is not religious and does not ask you to adopt any particular spiritual belief. Your own beliefs—including uncertainty—are welcome.
-
Your enrollment includes eight 90-minute virtual gatherings, your Life, After Companion with reflections and practices to use throughout the eight weeks, guided experiential practices, and access to the private community space for the duration of the program.
-
The founding circle is $650 with an option to pay in two payments of $325.
-
You don’t have to know before reaching out. The application and connection call are intentionally part of the process. We’ll have space to talk about what you’re looking for and whether Life, After feels like the right place for it.
There is room here for the person you miss, the life you had, and who you are becoming in the aftermath of loss.
How It Works-
Tell me a little about yourself, your person, your loss, and what is bringing you to Life, After. This helps me get to know you and make sure the group feels aligned with the support you’re looking for.
-
After I receive your application, we’ll schedule a brief one-on-one call. This is a chance for us to meet, talk a little more about where you are in your grief, and make sure Life, After feels like the right space for you. You’ll also have room to ask me anything you’d like about the experience.
-
If we both feel the group is a good fit, you’ll receive an invitation to join the upcoming circle along with a link to complete your registration and submit your payment.
-
Before we begin, you’ll complete a few simple forms covering group agreements, informed consent, emergency/contact information, and everything you need to know about participating in an online grief coaching group.
-
Once you’re registered, you’ll receive everything you need to prepare—including access information, your Life, After Companion, what to bring, and a few gentle invitations for arriving into our first gathering.
-
Then we gather. For eight weeks, we’ll meet in a small, intentional circle where there is room for your grief, your person, your story, and whatever else you are carrying.
